A student institute that measures itself externally
The place where MSU's strongest technical undergraduates do serious AI research, publish it, and are placed into research careers.
Every activity is judged by whether it moves a paper toward submission, a member toward competence, or the Institute toward credibility.
When research matures into something people can use, the Institute ships it as a product under its own name, scoped like a paper: a target, a date, a public write-up.
How the work is organized
Named venues and dates. Compute and mentors. Negative results published.
A presenter and an assigned skeptic. Debates with assigned positions. An idea bank.
Scout talent. Keep an opportunities board. One name, one identity, one web presence.
